Having been an art hero to me since my early youth, working with Yoshitaka Amano was only possible in my imagination. Until I found myself in a position to do just that.

Being the first to bring to market an apparel collection with the legendary illustrator in over a decade I wanted to insure the collection felt like the works displayed in a gallery while remaining everyday wearable. From that initial walking gallery idea I began to concept, sample, direct, revise and eventually finalize production the launch collection, Deva Loka.

From there I began coordinating both the filming and live stream of an in depth interview with Mr. Amano to initiate the launch, including his first look at the collection in person. This allowed for both a unique behind the scenes look at the personality and the work of Mr. Amano. It also fueled fan interaction leading to an incredible successful launch.

This was a true dream project for me and one that progressed my journey and created a lasting relationship with one of the artists I look up to most.
